Ruchi is the mother of twins Shreya and Raunak along with being a freelance writer. She attended elementary school in the U.S. and completed her secondary education, graduation and post graduation from India. On completion of a course in journalism and creative writing from ‘The Writers Bureau’ Manchester (U.K.) she’s had several articles published in Brunei’s National newspaper- ‘Borneo Bulletin’ and some in magazines like 'Today's Parents', 'Livewell Baby', 'Expat Living Travel Guide' etc. She has also worked as the editor of Twins Plus Singapore, which is a non-profit organization consisting of families with multiples.
Finding a dearth of children’s books related to twins in the local Singapore market, she decided to venture into Children’s book writing and write about this subject herself, drawing inspiration from her own twins. This is her first Children’s book.
